Army of Thieves (2021) (Movie Review)

We usually watch movies or series for recreation. Some people love to watch their favourite genre only. But some people love to watch every type of movie. They like the adventurous feeling they get while watching various types of movies. Most movie lovers love to watch various genres.

Today I would like to recommend you a binge worthy movie. So if you are a movie lover, make sure you read this article till the end.

It is usual to produce prequel or sequel films when the original film hits the box office and becomes famous. The group of films that contain the same storyline is called franchise. E.g. Transformers franchise, Fast and Furious franchise, Star Wars franchise etc are well-known franchises.

Prequels – are the movies that released after the original movie but the events in that movies are earlier than the original movie (movies with earlier timeline than the original movie but the same storyline)

Sequels – are the movies that are released after the original movie as the sequels of the original one.

Like that concept, today I am going to tell you a movie that will become a franchise. The name of the movie is “Army of Thieves”. That movie was produced by Zack Snyder, the director of the previous movie, “Army of Dead”. Some of you may have watched both. If you haven’t, you should read this article till the end because I am going to persuade you to watch it.

While the United States faced the Zombie apocalypse, the man called Sebastian, the Safecracker, who works in the small bank of nowhere Europe was invited to join a crew of Interpol’s most wanted thieves by Gwendoline, the mysterious woman, to heist and steal the three legendary, impossible-to-crack safes of Hans Wagner for fame and money.(There are four safes but only three safes are cracked in this film).

Sebastian was crazy about these safes his whole life. So he decided to join the criminals and their journey to steal and crack the legendary safes began. The remaining plots should be watched yourself because I don’t want to spoil the amazing ones.

If you like mysterious / thriller/ crime types of movies like Money Heist, Ocean’s Eight, Now you see me etc.. you should watch it. I bet you would definitely love it.

As this movie is a prequel to “Army of Dead” , the finale of the movie is linked to “Army of Dead”. The fourth safe that remains to crack in the “ Army of thieves” will be opened in the “Army of Dead”. Moreover, the “Army of Dead- 2” will be released soon. As I said earlier , these groups of movies will become a great zombie franchise soon.
