Babies usually start teething at around 6 months, but in some cases, teething can occur later than the expected time. It is totally normal as all babies are different .This process of toddler teething or baby teething can also be called “Odontiasis”.
During the stage of teething, toddlers can experience some common symptoms.

Swollen gum
Mild Fever
Having a flushed cheek
Rash on their face
Constantly rubbing their ears
Dribbling more than usual
Chewing on things a lot
Mood changes
Sleeplessness or restless sleep at night
These symptoms can discomfort alot to some toddlers. To comfort the babies teething challenges, there are some useful guides for the parents.

Teething Rings
Teething rings or teething toys can help toddlers be in control of easing discomfort. We recommend the parents to use the teething rings safely for the babies.
(1)Never put the teethinh rings in the fridge as the frozen teethers may seriously damage the sensitive gums.
(2)Teething rings are basically in a circular design. Accidentally, the toddlers might wrap around their neck from playing, and for worse, it can choke the babies. The parents should monitor not to happen this dangerous act to their babies. It is better to get a prior study on how to dislodge when the baby is choking on food.
(3) For the babies older than 6 months, feeding the soft foods such as the watermelon and the leafy greens can sooth alot the babies gum.We do not recommend the sugar coated crackers as the sugar can cause tooth decay.Always remeber to watch and monitor when the babies are eating.
Using Teething Gel
Teething gel quickly relieves the pain of teething and soothes the baby’s sore gums with a mild anaesthic. But, there is still a lack of evidence that teething gels are effective. It’s recommended that parents try non-medical option for teething first, such as a teething rimg. If you’ve already decided to use the teething gel, then make sure to research carefully the products meant for the babies.
Pain Medicine
Pain medicines with no sugar are recommended for the baby teething. Paracetamol and Ibuprofen are also recommded for the babies upper 3months of age.Aspirin should not be taken until the 16 years of age.Everytime you take the medicine, make sure to check the directions and descriptions on the label.
Cuddling and Rocking
Comforting the babies or playing together with them can distract the teething pain.Using a clean finger, gently rub or mesaage the baby’s gum can also help to relieve discomfort.
Preventing a drooling rash
If the teething can cause the babies dribblimg than as usual, to prevent the droobling rash, gently wipe away the drool from your baby’s mouth and chin.
Teething process is a normal and temporary part of the baby and toddler life. Be sure to talk to your pediatric dentist when your baby develops a fever or seems especially uncomfortable.
